Meet some of the Lions Clubs Members at Camp Kirk! These honourary staff take care of our site throughout the year by building and renovating our spaces, maintaining our water systems, cutting the lawns and so much more. They do it all as volunteers!

Byron Taylor: Byron has been volunteering at Camp Kirk since 2017. Each time we see him he’s got a great big smile on his face- he says his favourite part of being a Lion is getting to come up and help out at camp.
Tony Weerdenburg: Tony has been volunteering at camp for roughly 15 years! He’s built several buildings and structures at camp, all of our bed frames, and has rebuilt several porches just this season. We see Tony every single day in May and June, and he comes up to camp frequently throughout the year to keep us in good shape. Tony says you can leave Camp Kirk- but Camp Kirk will always stay with you.
Art Thomson: Art has been working on maintenance projects around camp since 2017. Typically we hear the lawnmower before we see him- he loves that thing! Art is known around camp for his great sense of humour and positive attitude.
We are so deeply grateful for the Lions Clubs volunteers and their work here! It’s hard to imagine the amount of time and effort they’ve put into this place, always striving to make the camp experience better for all of our families and staff.
